Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company
Mixed programme by Jacopo Godani

For this first performance in the Netherlands by the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, the famous choreographer and artistic director Jacopo Godani has compiled a unique programme of three contrasting parts: Echoes of a Restless Soul, to music by Maurice Ravel, High Breed, to the electronic sounds of 48Nord and Al di Lá, which places Arnold Schönberg’s work in an entirely new context. A top international troupe, only at the Zuiderstrandtheater!

Nederlands Kamerkoor
Paul van Nevel’s treasure trove

Paul van Nevel is a legendary specialist of old music. With his inseparable cigar, he travels to ancient monasteries in search of hidden musical treasures from the Medieval and Renaissance ages. The Nederlands Kamerkoor (Dutch Chamber Choir) has given him carte blanche to present his discoveries in a full programme. Not just the audience, but the singers themselves won’t find out what pieces he has brought along until the last moment.

Nederlandse Bachvereniging
Kaffeehaus Zimmermann

In 1729, Bach was appointed to direct the Collegium Musicum in Leipzig, an ensemble established by Telemann. With this group, Bach held crowded concerts in Zimmerman’s Kaffeehaus every Friday evening. Bach paid homage to his host with the Kaffee-Kantate, or Coffee Cantata, and also presented his violin concertos and pieces by Handel and Telemann at that venue. Of course, the coffee’s on the boil here, too.

Shunske Sato, violin and conductor

Bach, Violin Concerto in A, BWV 1041 - Cantata Amore Traditore, BWV 203 – Cantatea Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht (Coffee Cantata) - BWV 211 | Handel, Armida Abbandonata, HWV 105 | Telemann, Parts of Nouveaux Quatuors
